It can be really hard to be a kid. There is so much to figure out in this world… How to deal with a lot of squirrelly people and nutty situations. How to figure out what you want to really think and feel and believe, and what kind of person you want to be. It can all feel like a moving target.

There are some things I know now that would have helped me tremendously had I known them while I was young. But unfortunately I didn’t figure them out until I was an adult. Still helpful, but what missed opportunities!

Through this blog, I intend to share some of those insights with you while you’re still young. No need for you to struggle for years to learn things the hard way, right? Let’s make growing up a little bit easier, if we can. Just remember to always think about what you’re learning; that’s really the key to both mental and emotional growth. Gotta reflect deeply!

Please be aware: I am not a therapist, but rather a student of human communication in the real world. Through observation, exploration, and interaction; I have found ideas and perspectives that may be helpful to others struggling with the weirdness that is humankind.
